The charity and Prof John Spencer’s lab at Sussex University signed its latest grant on 4 Aug 2017. This is the charity’s 2nd grant supporting John’s work and its 16th overall. In total the charity has now committed £577,000 to research into NPC, £100,000 to Sussex.
The grant is to support John’s work looking to gain a better understanding of the fundamental role of cyclodextrin drugs in NPC and to apply this in designing better, safer drug-like cyclodextrin entities. This work will involve a collaboration with the Platt Lab and provides support for a post doc fellow in chemistry.
We are very excited to be working with John’s lab again and furthering the knowledge of cyclodextrin drugs for NPC.
